Two Fitchburg businesses and chamber members were recently honored by the Dane County Department of Human Services and the Supported Employment Provider Coalition at an event recognizing employers who hire individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).'
The Princeton Club was awarded the “Most Flexible Award,” while Quarry Ridge Resort Lifestyle Communities also received recognition. The event was held as part of the federal American Rescue Plan funding Dane County received to strengthen cross-system partnerships to improve Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) outcomes. About 850 local businesses employ roughly 1,000 people with IDD in Dane County—with some doing so for over 40 years.
